We deliver to Blandford (DT11), Wimborne (BH20, BH21) and Tisbury (SP3, SP5, SP7) postcode areas radiating out from Chettle. Use the postcode checker during sign up to check if we deliver to your area. If you are just outside our catchment zone, get in touch and we might be able to reach you. We will be starting delivery to Salisbury in July 2025.

We also have several collection points at Salt Deli on the A30 just outside of Salisbury, and at Shephards Corner Farm in Durweston, nr Blandford.

Do I need an account?
Yes you must have an account to place an order with us. Click the ‘Sign in’ tab in the top  corner of the website and follow the steps to set up an account.

Is there an order deadline?

  • Please place your order (or make changes) by 11pm on the Tuesday before your delivery.
  • For wholesale orders please place your order at least 48 hours before delivery. Orders placed after this time will not be fulfilled.
  • We publish our box contents on a Saturday Morning.

Can I place my order over the phone?
No we do not accept orders via phone or text.

How do I know if my order has been confirmed?
If you click on the basket in your account, you can see when your next order is due.

Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes of course! Please let us know before Tuesday at 11pm before your delivery if you wish to cancel your box or change your order. Cancellations can’t be processed after this time so you may need to phone a neighbour if you forget and are away.

What if I don't like certain items?

You can swap out up to 2 items from your box with every order. There is also a 'Likes' and  'Dislikes' section within your account page. Select the items you don't want to receive and we will automatically remove them from your box (try to keep it under 5 items if you can).

How can I pay?

Your card will be charged to the credit or debit card entered when you set up an account. The payment will go out on the Monday night before your delivery arrives. Please ensure that your payment details are updated if you make any changes to your card or provider.

What if I am on holiday?
Not a problem. From your account, navigate to 'Holidays' where you can select the week or weeks that you do not want a delivery.

DELIVERY

When do you deliver?
Depending on your area we will deliver on Thursday or Friday.

Will you deliver around the same time each week?
We tend to deliver at roughly the same time each week, give or take a couple of hours. There are many factors that come into play, such as traffic, how quickly we pick the produce that day, and how many customers are on that round.

What happens if I'm not home when you deliver?
No problem if you’re unavailable, we can take delivery instructions. We can either leave the box with a neighbour or leave your order in a safe place. If you don’t have a porch or safe place, it is recommended to leave a large plastic storage box outside your door to keep your  produce safe from the weather. If you are really worried about this please let us know, and we can do our best to deliver to you at a time when you’ll be home soon.

PACKAGING

How will I receive my order?
We deliver your fruit & vegetables in cardboard folding boxes, and use 100% recycled bags  to keep your leafy green items fresh and protected.

What do I do with my packaging?
Our driver will collect all of our packaging while making your next delivery. Please return all packaging for re-use and recycling.

How do I report if something is damaged or missing?
If you have any issues with your order please email [email protected] and we will look into it ASAP!

GENERAL FAQ's

What does agroecological mean?
Agroecology is an approach that applies both ecological (the relationship between plants, animals, humans and the environment) and social concepts and principles to the design and  management of sustainable food and farming systems. Agroecological systems are designed from the ground up, with people at the centre, and respond to local contexts, constraints and opportunities (Soil Association, 2025) Agroecological in our context means that we welcome as many forms of plants as possible  (including weeds) amongst our crops. This ensures diversity of species which benefits  insects and animals as well as the plants. This is because plants need symbiotic relationships to thrive and obtain nutrients from the soil.

Every plant has its own unique relationship with  the bacteria and fungi that live in the soil, they all bring something special to the party! Having a wide range of plants and roots present at any time ensures healthy soils, which  leads to healthy crops and healthy eaters!

Taking lessons from permaculture we ensure that no plant is ever growing alone. Once a  seeding is established we undersow with green manures (plants grown specifically to  protect or benefit the soil) or allow the weeds to flourish and mow them down regularly so they don’t outcompete the crops. We find this retains moisture in the soil, builds healthy  soil structure, retains organic matter and it looks really beautiful. In Chettle village we have found that life is better shared, and why should this be any different for plants.

What does organic mean?
‘Organic’ is a defined system of producing food that has strict rules and regulations for  producing food that promotes health, fairness, ecology and care. By being certified as ‘Organic’ with the Soil Association we are able to prove that we are meeting the highest standards of vegetable growing whilst protecting the land, its inhabitants and our soils for the next custodians.

We use no artificial pesticides, herbicides or fungicides in our growing system. We only use plants and things that you can find in nature, such as predatory insects for managing pests and composted woodchip or seaweed and fermented comfrey for boosting fertility!
